Red Ribbon Week |
To Be Scheduled Soon... Red Ribbon Week is a week long campaign to celebrate a healthy drug-free lifestyle. During that week, our students will be reminded about the importance of being drug-free. Each day, the students will participate in various PTA-sponsored activites and finally ending with a festival at Fountain Valley City Hall.
Both the City of Fountain Valley and the Fountain Valley Police Department will sponsor their annual Red Ribbon Festival which includes a pancake breakfast and all kinds of fun activities for family and friends.
So join us with the rest of the community as we celebrate a DRUG-FREE way of life!
This year's theme is "Dont be Tricked... Drugs are no Treat!!"

Enjoy many FREE *activities, carnival games, prizes, child fingerprinting, bouncers, 6th Annual Classic Car Show with over 50 HOT cars, K-9 Demonstrations, puppet show, face painting, clowns, rock climbing with many more exciting things to do!!!
The Fountain Valley Kiwanis Club will be having a pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Pancake pre-sale tickets are available for $15.00 per family or $4.00 per person, (or $5.00/person on the day of the event).

Red Ribbon Activities Are a Part of the City of Fountain Valley's "DRUG-FREE" Community Campaign!
2008-2009 Poster Contest Rules & Regulations:
Theme: "Dont be Tricked... Drugs are no Treat!!" This phrase must appear on the front of each poster.
1. The poster must exemplify an alcohol and drug-free lifestyle.
2. Posters should not include pictures of alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia or copyrighted cartoon characters.
3. Size: Standard poster size 12 x 18 construction paper, with no raised surfaces.
4. An entry form must be affixed to the back of the winning poster.
Deadlines and Submitting Procedures
1. Notify SHERRI LARNER at the Fountain Valley Police Department, Crime Prevention Unit @ (714) 593-4526 or email me at sherri.larner@fountainvalley.org Wednesday September 26th, if your school (class) plans to participate.
2. School officials are responsible for selecting their poster winner.
3. The winning poster will be picked up from your school Friday October 12th.
4. The student with the winning poster will receive written notification from the City of Fountain Valley, with an invitation to attend the Red Ribbon Fall Festival where they will be given special recognition. Student's parents, teacher and principal will also be invited to attend.
